The general idea of this perspective project is all about Misogyny and how it has different connotations in everyday life. The idea differentiates from common advertisements of misogyny in the music industry, as well as the common work places, even to the new adjustment to Roe v Wade.
English
As previously stated, the English portion of my project was dedicated to the music industry’s depiction of misogyny. My research mainly inquired about the different statistical information on song production and responses from males and females. With that, I wanted to relate my final products to the music industry, thus resulting in a written song. In this song, I used various ideas of figurative language as well as intertwining statistics in a vague context. It was a dual perspective song that the female provided perspective on the situation. For the male section, he was spreading some advocation for the women who don’t have their voices heard.
Civics
For my Civics, I related it back to the overturn of Roe v Wade, which took place in the summer of 2022. In another part of my research, I made sure to include the lack of separation of church vs state, which backs up the information of the Wade defenders. There is also some research done on 6 specific Supreme Court Justices. For the final product, I wrote 6 letter entries from the perspective of each justice member I had done research on. 3 of them were Roe defenders and were establishing their stance on why Roe v Wade should be left the way it is, as that was how it’s been for 50 + years. The opposing 6 are strong Wade defenders who believe that the rights of abortion are unconstitutional and go against biblical beliefs.
Art
Lastly, my art product, coincides with English, since it is speaking about misogyny taking place in a workplace environment. All of my research was more of the process and history of creating "Double Exposure 3D" paintings. For the final product of this project, I painted a 3D painting that demonstrates the different thinking of both women and men. Each side’s brain has different key phrases and terms that relate to the whole idea of misogyny. There are also words written in each of their brains that are opposing colors to show the common misconceptions about misogynistic situations. I also wrote annotations to further explain the term’s meaning and the perspective behind why they were chosen/written.
