English
For my English portion of project four, I had the intentions to learn all about how the government in the book "The Giver," may have had an influence to a characters story and outcome. Also to look deeper into the lessons that the governments may or may not have realized they put out. As this is bases on literary world, it was hard to see how the characters were infiltrated mentally by the government. The whole point of this project was to synthesize two opposing government that may seem different given the realities but are similar in their motives. The final product was tied with Civics to make a rewritten version for the Constitution to essential create the "ideal" government.

Civics
For my Civics area, I learned about the pros and cons of each style of government and see how each may differ from each other. Specifically I wanted to see how “The Givers,” urge to have such stereotypes and stationary living in their society. That compared to the US’s need to have things like freedom of speech and right to our own voices. In terms of research, I looked specifically at the eduction of American history and how major event were diluted from its true meaning. Also, I focused on the research question of how information is kept a secret and classifies in the government and the reason behind those intentions. Synthesis was shown through the compare and contrast with “The Givers” political system. The purpose was do the best I can to make the best form of government with knowing everything possible about the mistakes of each societies.

Art
For my art product, in terms of research, I planned to learn about different collages that can be created and see what is most applicable for my product. I also added and pasted specific pages of the book to the collage so the scenes that represent both pros and cons are displayed in the piece. To be more specific, I created a chromatic streak collection that easily showcased the stationary living written in the book, as well as the division between the two governments. Creating a collage was the best form of representing synthesis since I am creating something new with old pages and putting visuals to words that are usually left to imagination.
