English
For my English portion of project four, I collaborated with Global Studies to create a New York Times Article that gives a more in-depth look into how both collectivism and individualism spreads into three different cultures. The research I did to support my product, was looking more into the format and the actual creating of other New York Time pieces. With this information I was able to create and accurate representation of a traditional article. In certain parts of the writing, I annotated the appropriate places as to where I used my English research and synthesis, just to be able to differentiate the two subjects being intertwined.

Global Studies
For my Global Studies area, I co-created a New York Times Piece that informed readers as the simulates 3 different cultures have to collectivism and individualism. For my research, I interviewed 3 people who come from different ethnic backgrounds as to how they were raised and their take on both collectivism and individualism. I also looked more into the households of Latinos, African Americans, and South Asians, just to see which side of the spectrum they fall under. This part benefits my product by providing context as to how the different households run. With all the research I conducted, I annotated where they were shared within my piece and explained synthesis more clearly.

Art
For my art product, I made a newly created food dish that involved the three different cultures. I did an interview on 3 people asking how food plays a role in their lives, and with that I asked what their favorite food is. Based not their answers I made a dish that incorporate some aspect of each food choice. The for that was created after synthesis was a variant of Biriyani (South Asian Incorporation), made with long grain rice (Latino incorporation) and fried chicken (African American incorporation). I researched all about the history of these food and tried to find way they were tied to collectivism. After the research and food was done, I wrote a recipe card in order to inform others of the recipe. Within that card, annotations were made to clearly share where synthesis was playing a part.
